[National Knowledge-Based Manufacturing Conference 2024] Keynote Session: "As a Drone Startup, What We Expect from Collaborations with Mid-Sized and Small Businesses"

Lifeness Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director and Group CEO: Yukihiro Maru) will host the National Knowledge-Based Manufacturing Conference 2024 on Friday, April 12, 2024. As part of the keynote session, Mr. Toshiyuki Washitani, Representative Director and CEO of ACSL Co., Ltd., a co-creation partner, will deliver a presentation titled “What a Drone Startup Expects from Collaboration with Mid-Sized and Small Enterprises.”

At a time when economic value is rapidly shifting from physical goods to knowledge, what perspectives and approaches should mid-sized and small businesses adopt to drive change? ACSL Co., Ltd., a venture specializing in drones, became the first company of its kind in Japan to go public in 2018. In the lead-up to this milestone, the company collaborated with numerous mid-sized and small businesses while also conducting business with government agencies and large corporations.

In this session, we will explore how mid-sized and small businesses can collaborate with startups across various areas—including manufacturing, research and development, and business development—to promote the global adoption of drones. We will discuss “collaboration with startups” as a methodology for mid-sized and small businesses to achieve significant growth, and we also plan to hear from the startups themselves about their expectations for such partnerships.
