Sanko Giken Co., Ltd. and Anplat Co., Ltd.—both of which exhibited at the National Knowledge-Based Manufacturing Conference 2024 held on Friday, April 12, 2024—have partnered to release “Sanko-kun,” a chatbot that can answer any questions about precision die-cutting, in August. It has been implemented on the service page for precision and high-precision die-cutting. This service marks the first collaboration to emerge from the National Knowledge-Based Manufacturing Conference.
Sanko Giken is a company responsible for die-cutting over 100 million transportation IC cards nationwide and is capable of handling all types of die-cutting processes, including mold making, stamping, die-cutting, and laser processing. Meanwhile, Unplat, under the motto “Making all analytical methods a shared resource for researchers,” provides “ANCAT”—a data analysis technology-sharing platform that allows researchers to browse, search, and execute analytical methods as if from a catalog—to researchers.

This collaboration began when Sanko Giken approached Unplat at the 2024 National Knowledge-Based Manufacturing Conference to explore whether it would be possible to utilize the data—including quality control documents and work procedures—that Sanko Giken had accumulated over approximately 15 years.
We exhibited a beta version at the “Ready to Use Now!! IoT, AI, and Robotics Expo” held at the Kobe Sambō Hall on June 28, 2024. Based on the comments and feedback we received there, we made a series of improvements and launched the service in August.
The National Knowledge Manufacturing Conference is committed to promoting “knowledge manufacturing”—a process that creates new knowledge by combining existing knowledge to solve unresolved challenges. We plan to hold the second National Knowledge Manufacturing Conference 2025 on Friday, April 18, 2025. If you are interested, please contact us.
