Lifeness Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director and Group CEO: Yukihiro Maru) will host the National Knowledge-Based Manufacturing Conference 2024 on Friday, April 12, 2024. It has been confirmed that Hase Tora Spinning Co., Ltd. will participate as a co-creation partner.

The National Knowledge Manufacturing Conference is a forum that embodies “knowledge manufacturing”—the creation of new knowledge through the combination of existing knowledge. In contrast to Japan, with its declining birthrate and aging population, the world’s population continues to grow rapidly, and markets are steadily expanding. At the same time, however, the world faces a mountain of challenges. Conventional industrial structures, which have downplayed environmental impacts, have already reached their limits, and there is a growing need for new industrial models that achieve harmony between humanity and the Earth. The National Knowledge Manufacturing Conference features case studies shared by mid-sized and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with cutting-edge initiatives, as well as exhibition booths by companies striving to pioneer the future. The conference aims to connect the knowledge of the people gathered here to solve unresolved challenges.

Hase Tora Spinning Co., Ltd., which has recently been selected to join us as a co-creation partner to build new value together, was founded in Meiji 20 with the aim of contributing to the local community through the textile industry. Drawing on some of Japan’s leading spinning technologies, the company develops various textile products and new materials. By bringing fresh expertise to the textile industry—where many companies have been forced out of business as times have changed—it is engaged in initiatives that contribute to the planet.
