The National Knowledge Manufacturing Conference is a forum that embodies “knowledge manufacturing”—the creation of new knowledge through the combination of existing knowledge. In contrast to Japan, with its declining birthrate and aging population, the world’s population continues to surge, and markets are steadily expanding. At the same time, however, the world faces a mountain of challenges. Conventional industrial structures, which have downplayed environmental impacts, have already reached their limits, and there is a growing need for new industrial models that achieve harmony between humanity and the Earth. The National Knowledge Manufacturing Conference features case studies shared by mid-sized and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with cutting-edge initiatives, as well as exhibition booths by companies striving to pioneer the future. The conference aims to connect the knowledge possessed by those gathered here to solve unresolved challenges.
